The Salvation Army is deeply committed to fighting and responding to modern slavery and human trafficking (MSHT). We have a theological and historical mandate. We believe prayer is foundational and an essential, powerful tool to fight for freedom and work towards a world free from exploitation.

We invite you to join The Salvation Army, partners, and friends worldwide to corporately cry out for justice and freedom on Sunday 24 September 2023. This year’s theme, ‘I have heard their cries,’ comes from Exodus 2:23 -25:

‘The Israelites groaned under the slavery and cried out. Out of the slavery their cry for help rose up to God. God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.’ (Exodus 2:23-25 NRSV).
